Does your heart race at the sight of the latest makeup drops or launch of a new innovative skincare product? Do you find joy in trying new products before they hit the shelves? Becoming a beauty product tester might just be the perfect thing for you. Just imagine opening your mailbox to find a box of curated beauty goodies from many different brands just for you! Not only do you get to try new products that haven’t hit the shelves yet, you also get to share your thoughts which directly impact the development of the products. Your product feedback has the power to change the beauty industry! Exciting, right?

Even more – we pay you for being a tester. When you’ve completed the testing process for a product, you’ll receive either an Amazon.com e-card or an e-code to the testing brand’s website to shop. How fun is that?

In this post, thePinkPanel experts will guide you through some fundamental do’s and don’ts for becoming a beauty product tester. We’ll guide you through the journey of joining thePinkPanel as a beauty product tester and turning your passion for beauty into a fun and exciting experience!

DO: Sign Up For thePinkPanel

First things first, to become a beauty product tester you’ll want to sign up for thePinkPanel here

thePinkPanel is a community of beauty & personal care product enthusiasts who participate in product testing, surveys, and feedback to provide insights and opinions to beauty brands. You’ll have access to the newest and most innovative beauty products that no one else has seen. These products are all in near final formulations, completely safety-tested, and exclusive to you all from the comfort of your own home.

Signing up to be a member of thePinkPanel will be the best way to start out as a beauty product tester!

PRO TIP: After you sign up you should receive a confirmation email. If you don’t see it within 10 minutes, make sure to check your spam/promotions folder. If it ends up there then be sure to mark our email as a safe sender. We don’t want you missing out on any study opportunities!

DON’T: Misrepresent Yourself

The most important part of being a beauty product tester is providing honest feedback and being honest about yourself. When you sign up to be a panelist, stay true to who you are and submit truthful personal information. If you apply for a study and it doesn’t match the information you provided when you joined, this could come off as suspicious when we’re putting a panel together for a test.

We match members with the perfect products based on the information our panelists provide us when you first join thePinkPanel. Always be honest and you will be more likely to be chosen.

We also ask that all product feedback be honest and your true feelings about the product. This is to provide accurate feedback to the brands that are trying to create the BEST beauty products to bring to the market. The information you provide shapes how these products are developed and marketed – how exciting is that?!

PRO TIP: If you are using a desktop computer sometimes your browser might auto-fill your information. We always recommend you double check that everything is filled out properly!

DO: Apply to All Studies That Interest You

Once you are signed up with thePinkPanel we will start to send study opportunity emails. Our emails will include information about thePinkPanel beauty product testing opportunities. When you see something that interests you, fill out the screening application.

We have a lot of panelists and only so many opportunities. Make sure to apply to any study that piques your interest! This will increase your chances of being chosen for a study.

PRO TIP: Always double check your spam folder just in case our Pink Leader’s email gets filtered out there. This is especially true for Gmail users!

DON’T: Use Incorrect Grammar or Spelling

When reviewing screener surveys to choose study participants, it’s important that we see good grammar, spelling and punctuation. If anything looks haphazard or incomplete, it decreases your chances of being selected (as we view these screeners as job applications, so to speak).

When you are being mindful in your communication it demonstrates that you are already being thoughtful and careful. This is especially important when we provide your feedback to the companies. They get to see what thoughtful and helpful members we have at thePinkPanel!

PRO TIP: We love when our members take the time to be thoughtful with their response. It will be more likely that we choose you for studies in the future if you have great grammar, spelling and punctuation.

DO: Provide Correct Contact Information

It is important that we receive the correct information for you in case you are chosen for a study. If you have an apartment number, make sure to include it when you fill out your application so your products will arrive to you. Ensure your email address and phone number are accurate as well in case we need to contact you about your study participation. Making sure these little details are correct makes all the difference!

PRO TIP: If you are ever unsure about the information you provided or realized you forgot something, you may email Pink@PinkPanel.com for assistance. We are always here to help you and answer any of your questions!
